#4 Egret

We had never been to Sanibel. The Egret was perfect! Completely remodeled and up to date. Very spacious for the two of us. Loved the private access beach at then end of the street. No one was ever at the beach. The cottages are at the beginning of a residential street, so you have to walk a bit or drive and park in a private lot near it.  A great week stay in paradise. Cottages are closer to Captiva. Not in town part of Sanibel. 2 miles from Ding Darling entrance. The bikes included were useful.. A nice neighbor helped us when we got there. . It was a fantastic stay. Would stay again!

Great layback place, not far from everything. The place was very clean and cozy. Loved the free bikes! I would definetly recommended.

This was our second year staying at Periwinkle Cottages, Egret. We loved it just as much! Comfortable and cozy with great beach access. Had a much needed relaxing time in Sanibel with great restaurants, great stay and awesome weather to enjoy the beach!

I absolutely enjoyed our time in this wonderful home! Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the house came with all we needed for a great day at the beach. The uncrowded beach was perfect. Next time we will be staying for a much longer time.

We LOVED staying at the Egret! Cute little cottage with everything you need for a week at the beach! Super Clean- it smelled so good and "clean" when we arrived- you can tell they take pride in their little paradise cottage! Short walk or bike ride to the beach- we loved the bikes and used the beach wagons to haul our beach gear everyday! It is on the quiet side of the island... perfect for a relaxing vacation! The beach had no crowds- practically private! We got to see dolphins, manta rays, a sea turtle, and other wildlife on the beach. We also found tons of great shells!

Words cannot convey the wonderful time we spent at the Egret. Location was excellent, a short bike ride to the nearly private beach. The Egret was well appointed with all the things to make our 4-day stay easy and pleasant -- with all the beach toys provided. The Egret was clean and bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend this place for a wonderful getaway. Private and quiet.

We had the best time at Egret cottage! Having the bikes, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler at the cottage already was such an amazing touch, and we used them all everyday! It was the perfect getaway for our babymoon before we welcome our little boy in October. Relaxing, beautiful, and quiet. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

The Periwinkle cottages are an excellent place to stay ion Sanibel Island. The decor is cozy and the place is very clean. The beds are comfortable and they provide bikes, beach chairs and other ocean floating apparatus. The beach access is right down the street and with free parking. We always enjoy our stay at the cottage.

Wonderful everything

I come to Sanibel several times every year. I always enjoy my stay. Egret is roomy and comfortable and I never have any problems with anything in the cottage. I make my breakfast in the kitchen keep my wet suits and towels on the enclosed porch and watch TV and use the internet in the living room. I feel completely at home. I spend a lot of time at the beach at the end of the Street. I can ride one of the bikes if I need to go anywhere. It is a very relaxing, stress free environment.

Cute place centrally located in between Captiva and town of Sanibel, in a quiet area and just a few miles from the nature preserve entrance, which is worth a visit, especially in the mornings when birds are out more. Decor is beachy and comfortable. We appreciated being able to walk down the street to the nearby beach which was fairly secluded. The kitchen is small but adequate for some light meal prep. The bikes on property could use some upgrading however, Ok for a short spin, but not for a long ride around island. There are many bike paths around the area.

This cottage was a little piece of paradise. Clean, comfortable and the location was perfect secluded, but near everything, especially the beach. Highly recommended.

Our stay on Sanibel island was great. We enjoyed using the egret cottage. It was comfortable and convenient with the beach down the street.

This cute cottage is the perfect location for a beach vacation! Centrally located between Sanibel and Captiva, it's an easy drive to restaurants on either side. We biked to the beach every afternoon with the trikes provided. The semi private beach was beautiful! It was never busy, lots of shells and the water so nice. The cottage itself was clean, cute, and had plenty of room for a family of 4. The couches and beds were comfortable, the lanai was a fun place to sort our shells, the outdoor shower was perfect for washing off sand. I highly recommend!

The Egret just gets better and better each year we stay. Little nuances continue to improve. This is truly the best deal on Sanibel!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Egret. The cottage is clean and cozy. Loved riding the bikes and seeing all the wildlife during our ride through the Ding Darling reserve. Hopefully, we will be able to repeat this trip again.

Will be back hopefully every year! The private beach is on the same street as the cottages. Beautiful. Walk a few minutes to see the sunset. Cottages themselves were very cute and private

My wife and I loved this little cottage. Had all the amenities and was so nice. We will rent here again next time we head back to Sanibel.

The cottage was clean and perfect! I loved the quiet street and the private beach down the street was full of shells. I absolutely would stay here again. There was an alligator living down the street too!

We loved the cute cottage and found it clean and well stocked. The parking pass for the private beach was much appreciated. The screened lanai was delightful in the evenings.

Cottage is very nice and clean. The location is perfect far away from commercial hotels with 5 minutes walking to beach. The beach is amazing so nice and quite. This is perfect place for relaxing. I have visited Sanibel couple times and this cottage and location is perfect for me and my family so I will be back for sure there. I would highly recommend it.

I have stayed at Periwinkle Cottages, usually at Egret, but sometimes at Ibis approximately a half dozen times. They are my favorite place to go to unwind and relax. The beach is close by and is seldom crowded. Shell collectors come from all over to look for shells. The cottages are in a quiet residential m neighborhood filled with ponds and tropical vegetation. The cottages have their own fleet of bikes and you can get around to most places on them. The cottages themselves are comfortable and roomy. The living room/kitchen and dining room is a great place to eat breakfast, relax or watch TV on a rainy day. The screened porch is a room that I find useful, I hang up my wet swimsuits and towels and I can sit there and drink my morning coffee. The Periwinkle Cottages are close to a number of good restaurants, the wildlife refuge and the National Shell Museum. The Cottages are a great place to spend a relaxing vacation on Sanibel.

Great old Florida cottages in a quiet location. Stayed two night in the Egret cottage. Quick bicycle ride to the beach. Leave the condos behind and stay here.

Too many memories to write. We stayed in #3 Ibis our first night at the Periwinkle Cottages. Then, It was decided that we weren't quite ready to go ‍♀️ #3 was booked so we moved.We moved to Egret, #4 and stayed another night!The Kim's that are the voice on the end of the phone are fantastic We are already planning our next adventure at Periwinkle Cottages.

The Egret gave us everything we needed. Close beach access, great accommodations, beach chairs, bikes.The screened in porch was especially enjoyable.

Cottage was very nice and very clean! We look forward to coming again when we can stay longer.

My husband and I had a great time. Cottage was in a good location and close to beach. First night we had some minor issues with cottage, but 3 maintenance people came by next morning to correct the issues. They were very polite and fixed all the problems. I was impressed. Cottage came with beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. Even had a wagon if you wanted to tote your stuff to beach without driving. Or use the bikes and bike around the island. Cottage was clean and quiet. I would use them again. Easy access to the entire island for groceries, restaurants and shopping. We booked a dolphin sunset cruise with Adventures in Paradise (per the welcome letter) and had a wonderful evening.

Cute little cabin with beach access. Very clean with lots of amenities including beach chairs, grills and bicycles. Staff was friendly and responded to our inquiries quickly. We had a great long weekend with lots of shelling.

The Periwinkle Cottage Egret #4 on Sanibel Island was a wonderful vacation retreat.We were very pleased with the accommodations and accessibility to the beach. The cottages provided beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and water floats that really made our trip carefree. The decor was modern, clean and cozy. It is clear that the management cares about their guests and I would highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, serene getaway. We will definitely be back.

Free bikes, beach buggy, beach chairs, beach sunbrella, outdoor grill, beach towels. Even a parking pass if you don't want to walk the extra 200 yards

We loved the cottage,the location , the bicycles,and the entire island.We are coming back next year.
